Libuše Vepřek came to the Human Computation Institute to study Stall Catchers. Libuše introduced herself to the Stall Catchers community in 2022 through this blog post - so if you need a refresher, feel free to take a look!

As a cultural anthropologist, Libuše engaged with us as an ethnographer, meaning that to study Stall Catchers, our institute, and our community, she had to become one of us and get involved in all the different kinds of work we do. This way, she could really get an insider’s perspective. She even got to meet some of you, our catchers, in person and establish some lasting friendships.

After completing her research, Libuše spent a year writing her doctoral dissertation, and defended her thesis, which means now we have to call her Dr. Vepřek :)

And the exciting news is that her research with Stall Catchers (and other projects and related topics) has now been published as a book that anyone can download.

Libuše has expressed gratitude for her experience studying Stall Catchers and wants to give back.  So she is going to host an upcoming webinar to describe her research findings and give us all an opportunity to ask related questions.

If you are registered on Stall Catchers and have opted into receiving emails from us, you will receive a webinar invitation so you can participate.

Make sure you select the “Receive email” box in your Stall Catchers profile to receive this invite!
